About Me
Here’s the bio in third person (just in case you want to copy it!):
Stacy McKitrick fell in love with paranormal romance, decided to write her own in 2009 and found her passion in life. She used to work in accounting, now she spends her time with vampires, ghosts, and aliens. Born in California, she currently resides in Ohio with her husband. They have two grown children.
I love to read. When I’m not writing, I’m reading. And yeah, the house is a mess, what can I say? My favorite reading genres include: horror, suspense/thrillers, paranormal romance, and romantic suspense. Favorite authors include JR Ward, Stephen King, Dean Koontz, Meg Gardiner, Lynsay Sands, and Kerrelyn Sparks. It’s my love of reading that tempted me to see if I could write.
And boy, did that open a door!
Why do I write paranormal romance? Besides loving the happy ever after, I like to make the world up. You’d think with all the horror reading I’ve done, my books would be dark, but I also enjoy humor and that seemed to weasel its way in, so my stories are more on the light side. I wrote my vampires with this theory in mind: If vampires really existed, then they have to blend in with society. No killing to feed (or else there would be no people left). No marks from their bites. They hide in plain sight. You never know, the bartender at your favorite joint just might be a vampire!
